Matt and I finally got a glimpse of the photos from our NYC shoot with A Bryan Photo. Caroline Brewer, our lovely stylist, posted a handful on her blog.
For those of you who don’t already know, Matt and I won the A Bryan Photo “NYC Lifestyle Shoot” which was sponsored by the wedding blog Snippet and Ink and the honeymoon registry Traveler’s Joy. Folks read our story, watched our engagement video, and voted for us (big thanks to everyone).
“One of the most fearsome, stressful things that we can encounter as people is the thought that we are not who we think we are, the thought that the world sees us differently than we see ourselves.”—Ira Glass, This American Life
I love photo booths and the images they create and capture. Fortunately, there are others who feel just as passionate about these mobile booths. Take the folks at Magnolia Photo Booth Company who have spent years carting their booths to events (mostly weddings).
Having photographed the wedding scene, the MPBC would now like to travel the US and photograph us everyday people. Watch their video on the project here and read the story on Etsy here.
Clare Holland of Books Paper Scissors has (very wisely) created a team of individuals who have both Etsy shops and tumblr blogs. Being one of those folks, I have joined the team, started following others on tumblr, and added their shops to my favorites on Etsy. If you would like to do the same, you can join here, look at the directory here, and sign up for the Etsy team here.
Hopefully this will create a community of artists who showcase each others’ work in Etsy treasuries and on their blogs. I will do my part by writing posts that feature one shop at a time. I hope you will visit their shops and help support independent artists.
